GAYBC Happy Hour | Original Date: 01 Feb 2024

In this week's episode of the GAYBC Happy Hour, hosts Richie Roy and Johnny Mac address a range of concerns affecting the LGBTQ+ community across America. From Seattle to Florida and even the heartland, threats and alarming behavior have been observed. In Seattle, queer establishments are facing harassment from the police due to exposed chests and provocative athletic wear. In Florida, authorities have restricted accurate representation of transgender citizens' sex on drivers licenses, and a university has decided to close its Diversity Equity and Inclusion offices. Additionally, the State of Utah is aggressively attempting to erase DEI from existence, while Texas' Attorney General is demanding a Georgia clinic that supports transgender youth to violate HIPAA regulations and hand over its records. As if this wasn't enough, Richie and Johnny receive a call from an Oklahoma jail that reveals the consequences of sharing "naughty selfies." After such a distressing rundown, Richie mixes up a refreshing cocktail called Tahini 66 in his Mixology 101 segment to help us all unwind.
